Mr. Burnell is a Veteran of the United States Air Force where he served as a Combat Communications and Close Air Support specialist. Much of his service was spent with U.S. Army units as well as U.S. and NATO Special Operations Forces. He taught close combat fighting, tactical rappeling and is a graduate of hostage rescue training in England.
During his military career and spanning civilian life he became a professional Search and Rescue Instructor and water Rescue/Recovery Instructor. Mr. Burnell participated in some very complex recoveries and hundreds of rescues to include vehicle extrication, fast water rescue, under ice recovery, mine, cave, trench and vertical rescue.
He is a Certified Professional Body Guard for High Risk Areas and is a sought after instructor of conflict resolution.
In 2010 Mr. Burnell I was the Chief of Security for the Utah Hosptial Task Force that deployed to post earthquake Haiti. His duties included the security of 120 Doctors and Nurses. This missions were diverse and included working tightly with the 82nd Airborne, armed convoys, food drops, medical relief, trauma care, personal protection, orphan evacuation and the recovery of abducted children.
In 2011 he responded to the earthquake and tsunami disaster in Japan. For two weeks he recovered bodies in Onagowa. In 2012 he deployed to Nicaragua on a humanitarian missions for the Rama indians with former Green Beret medics and trauma doctors.
Mr. Burnell is active in training, operating and humanitarian efforts worldwide.
